How to Get Reviews Without Feeling Awkward

Reviews are the most persuasive thing on your website — and asking for them feels like the most awkward. Here’s how to make it easy for both sides.

Nothing on your website works harder than a genuine review. A stranger will believe your happy customer long before they believe your own headline. The problem is rarely that customers won’t leave one — it’s that we never quite get round to asking.

Ask at the peak

The best moment is right when the job’s done and the client is pleased — not a fortnight later when the glow has faded. That’s when they mean it, and when it’s easiest for them to write something warm.

Make it a tap, not a task

  • Send a direct link straight to the review page
  • Do it by text or email while it’s fresh
  • Never make them hunt for where to go

Give them a nudge, not a script

People freeze at a blank box. A gentle prompt — “it’d really help if you mentioned how you found the process” — gives them something to react to without putting words in their mouth.

Then actually use them

A review sitting on a platform is fine. A review pulled onto your homepage, next to the offer, at the moment of doubt — that’s what converts. Collect them, then put them to work where decisions get made.

Sitting on great feedback you’re not showing?

We’ll help you gather reviews and place them where they close sales. Email info@torqpoint.com to get started. Or start a project.
